Jetters
Ramjet
Overview:
The Vactor Ramjet jetter scours sewer lines clean.
Instituting a regular line maintenance program is easy with the
truck-mounted Vactor Ramjet. Equipped with a Vactor Jet Rodder®
water pump or triplex water pump, the Ramjet effectively breaks up
blockages in sanitary lines and flushes out debris.
A single operator can quickly drive to each job site to solve line
problems and tackle regular line maintenance. The Ramjet's unique
Auto Wind Hose Guide allows hands-free operation from the control
panel, for a clean, tight wrap.
Armed with up to 2,000 gallons of water in a stainless steel tank,
the Ramjet delivers a range of flows: 60 gpm, 65 gpm, or 80 gpm at
2000 psi (80 gpm at 2500 psi with the Vactor Jet Rodder pump.) The
Jet Rodder water pump is an exclusive single-piston, hydraulically
driven, dual acting pump that delivers a jack hammer action water
flow, breaking through line blockages and scouring even the toughest
caked-on debris from pipe walls.
Built with Vactor quality, the Ramjet jetter provides the same
quality and integrity set by Vactor's flagship line, the 2100
Series.

Vacuum Excavation
Mid-Size-HXX Prodigy
Full Size-Hydrovac
Overview:
Vacuum Excavation occurs when high-pressure water or pressurized air
breaks up and cuts the soil, while a high-flow vacuum system lifts
the soil up and out of the excavation area.
Buried natural gas, petroleum pipelines, and water mains can be
quickly and efficiently uncovered with greatly reduced risk of
strike. Fiber optic lines, cables, and other utilities can be
efficiently located without the damage that can happen with
traditional mechanical digging.
Operators can dig with precision, establishing a less invasive
method for slot trenching, potholing, and pipe location.
This manner of excavation causes less surface damage, reduces
disruption of traffic and other surface activities and can be easier
and less expensive to repair.
Non-destructive vacuum excavation is quickly gaining acceptance by
cities, utilities, and contractors as a relatively safe, effective
alternative to traditional excavation methods in a wide range of
applications such as: Line location - Installation and repair for
utilities and pipelines - Sewer and pipe - Rehabilitation - Slot
Trenching - Waterline maintenance and repair - Directional digging -
Excavation in congested areas - Sign and pole installation -
Landscaping excavation - Precision digging
For bigger jobs consider the Vactor HXX HydroExcavator (Fan or PD):
Larger pipeline installations, big-volume excavations, and 12-yard
debris body.
For power in a compact package look to the Vactor HXX Prodigy:
Potholing - Slot trenching - Precise work - Water or optional air -
6- or 9-yard debris body.
Based on the experience of its predecessor, the Vactor
Hydro-excavator® - and several years of vacuum excavation research
and testing - the new Vactor HXX Prodigy® vacuum excavator is the
perfect non-destructive machine for utility and municipal
applications. Versatile enough to excavate using either air or water
as a digging medium, the Prodigy features a 16-inch Hg, 3200 CFM PD
blower with a custom-designed and optimized filtration system that
can handle both digging mediums, air (185 cfm/150 psi) and water (10
gpm/ 2500 psi), without a bag house. Featuring a compact,
lightweight design, the Prodigy can carry up to 600 gallons of water
and 6 cubic yards of debris and can perform in the toughest climatic
and soil conditions, for more uptime and lower operating costs. And
with the HXX Prodigy available with 6 inch hose and optional
telescopic or extendable boom there is no more struggling with the
less productive, harder to handle small 3-4 inch vacuum lines found
on most trailer units.
Prodigy is also available in a larger capacity 9 yard, tandem axle
configuration.

HXX Hydroexcavator FAN
Overview:
The fan air conveyance is preferred for many vacuum excavation
applications because it moves an incredible amount of air,
excavating more rapidly than other systems.
It is easy to operate, and maintain, has a lower noise levels and
adds less overall weight to the unit.
It can also be more forgiving for less experienced operators.
The centrifugal fan is ideal for most Hydroexcavation applications.
HXX Hydroexcavator PD
Overview:
Positive Displacement System
A positive displacement blower is used to move air in certain vacuum
excavation applications because it can excavate over long distances
and at incredible depths, but at a slower speed than fan units.
The Hydro excavator PD® design features the Hibon 8702 Tri-Lobe
blower with 28" Hg (mercury) and produces 5150 CFM.
The modular, stand-alone cyclone provides easy access for
maintenance.
The HXX PD is ideal for oilfield work or large excavations.
In both configurations, the simplified airflow path was designed to
maximize pickup and filtration effectiveness while minimizing
material pass through of the fan or blower causing premature wear
and expensive repairs.
