Company History
Haaker
Equipment Company had its humble beginnings on February 4, 1972,
when two business friends, Ken Arnold and John Haaker, each invested
$2,000.00 and incorporated as "Arnold/Haaker Equipment Company,
Inc." The office and shop was located in Santa Fe Springs and
the product lines included Vactor and LoDal. Total sales for the
first year were just over $200,000.00.
Bill Haaker joined the company in June of
1972 as chief ‘gofer’, Vactor and Ecolotec Sweeper demonstration
operator, mechanic and sales trainee. The ensuing five years
were a real struggle. During this time, Mr. Arnold suffered a
stroke and was unable to continue working. John Haaker purchased
Mr. Arnold’s interest and became the sole owner of the newly
renamed, "Haaker
Equipment Company".
